Our annual family camp where moms and siblings join us
We learned to create emergency shelter tents, and some girls slept in them too!

Packs decorated helmets and had a three part relay race on a slip and slide, dads riding girl bikes on a bmx course and a dad and daughter 3 legged race
Saturday night we had bounce outs and announced our new leadership for next season

We had a capture the flag competition
Each pack competed for best food offering in the Appy Hour, with girls voting for their favorite

Trick or treating in costume and Coyote Fire happened between epic rain and thunder - now that's making memories!

Each pack built their own cardboard boats for the Great Coyote Cardboard Boat Regatta
We had a "Mid-day Rats" cooking competition for lunch time where the girls got to vote for the best
We had a great Coyote Fire with songs, dancing and learning our Six Aims

Friday night catered Brazilian dinner followed by a movie
Ultimate relay race with balloon stomping, sack race and sponge squeeze
Makeup challenge where one dad had to get a girl ready for a dance night, then the tables turned as every girl got to give a (brutal) makeover to the competing dad all at once!
Free time playing by the creek, boating at Lake Hemet next door, playing games and hiking
Afternoon bead trading was highlighted by each pack making a charcuterie board to make this mom inclusive campout more special
Coyote Fire was a big one with older girls bouncing out, recapping our season, saying thanks to Chief and Chief Girls, and welcoming our new leaders
Welcome new Big Chef Nick, Med Man Brian and Firestarter Quinn!

Coyote Amazing Race was the big event of the day with clues to solve and stations to find, ending at Eagle Rock - big shout out to Chief Girl Meredith and Chief Brian for their hard work putting this event together along with Walla Walla for being first to win the game.
Cookie baking (burning?) and decoration competition in the afternoon
Survival themed midrats cook-off, highlighted by Walla Walla's unbelievable bananna leaf wrapped pork cooked under ground with hot coals and stones
Firestarter Nick lit up the night with an amazing lighting of the Coyote Fire that will not be soon forgotten

Cabin camping and meals provided by camp staff, left us more time to focus on archery, bb rifles, candle making, climbing wall time and other great activities
We had an afternoon egg drop competition from the staircase at the lodge
Coyote "Fire" was the platform for our "Coyote's Got Talent" competition where packs peformed chants using their pack names
Immediately after, we launched into a disco light dance party complete with black light glow-in-the-dark graffiti wall!
Midrat cookoff theme was Cajun, with amazing food throughtout the camp

What did we not do?
Swimming and rock scrambling around the campground
Saturday morning Firestarter Nick had a workshop for girls to build a timecapsule out of pipe and caps for their pack, after which the girls each filled out a sheet with their dad to put a message to themselves in the future
In the afternoon we went out to the desert and had a glider competition and explored the amazing mudcaves
That night we had Coyote Fire which ended in a chili cook-off competition

A huge inflatable obstacle course was setup thanks to Greg at Party Pals
We held our annual pinewood derby race
Breakfast competition for the most elaborate and creative spread
Petting zoo and tractor hay rides were part of the fun

Canoeing, Archery and BB Rifle activities at the camp
Girls created posters to illustrate the "to love the sacred circle of my family" aim
We announced that we'd be changing some of our pack names to animal names and got the girls to start scheming on new names

We kicked off the weekend with a super silly mummy wrap competition where girls had to wrap their chiefs in toilet paper
Packs decorated their flags with highlighters to see them illuminated in black light during Coyote Fire, along with neon paint pens for graffiting Cheyenne (Chameleon) Chief Pat's truck under black light that night too
Lots of fun at the Lake Skinner splash pad playground
That evening we had trick or treating around the campground, and packs decorated their campsites along with spooky midrats

Our first campout after covid, so good to be back!
Saturday morning we had a photo scavenger hunt around camp
Yosemite also hid pirate treasue chests for packs to find as well
Afternoon pool time was a welcome part with the 100+ degree day, along with some mini golf fun at the Vail Lake clubhouse
